GENERAL Information

I love your work, and I'd like to book you. How do I go about doing that?
You can book me through the form on my contact page. All messages are immediately forwarded to my personal e-mail, and I will be in touch with you as soon as possible! Please visit my contact page if you are interested.

Where are you located?
I live and operate in Las Vegas, Nevada.

What are your rates?
It depends. My rates vary, and depend upon a number of factors such as what the assignment is, how much time the assignment will take, what the client can afford, and what the photographs resulting from the assignment will be used for. I've found the best way to manage my rates is to employ a sliding scale fee arrangement, which allows me negotiate and tailor fees to the particular assignment in a mutually beneficial and fair way. Please visit my contact page for a quote.

Do you require a deposit?
Yes. In order to book a session date, a nonrefundable 50% deposit is required.

Do you photograph normal occasions, such as senior photos, family portraits, proms, or weddings?
Yes, I do. Please visit my contact page for a quote.

Are you able to travel for assignments?
Yes, I am able and willing to travel for assignments.

Do you retouch photos?
For a majority of my assignments, I retouch my own photos, but depending upon the needs of the assignment, I may send photographs out to a professional retoucher.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Where does your name come from?
I get this question a lot! I'm named after a New Zealand author by the name of Ngaio Marsh who primarily wrote crime novels. The name is of Maori descent (the natives of New Zealand), and literally translates to "professional"—but among its several meanings, one of my favorite definitions is "the reflection on the water."

How did you learn photography?
I'm self-taught. I took an immediate interest after seeing an acquaintance's photographs, and I've been hooked since! I studied photography profusely prior to getting my first camera, looking at thousands of photos and their makeups, and learning how to use a camera before I even had one.

What kind of equipment do you use?
At the moment, I use a Canon 5D Mark IV along with the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II, Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II, and Canon 50mm f/1.2L for lenses. I also use an Elinchrom Ranger RX for situations that call for it.
